What does the term Geomorphology mean?
Geomorphology is the study of the changing landforms of the earth.
What are
landforms?
Landforms are any physical features on the earths surface e.g. a hill or
a mountain.
How are
landforms created?
Two different forces are responsible for the formation of landforms. The first force is called the internal or the endogenic force. The second force is the external or exogenic. The endogenic force consists of: earthquakes, earth folds, volcanoes and faults (cracks on the earth’s surface). The exogenic force consists of: water, wind, the sea and ice which are named as the agents of erosion.
